January Seattle Calligraphy Meetup

Oh how good it feels to gather. A big thank you to the beautiful souls who answered the clarion call for community and came to letter alongside each other tonight! We even had a cameo from a couple good looking guys! And to the glorious Sweetgrass Food Co. for feeding and hosting us. We made letters without a goal or outcome, enjoyed the company of other creatives, and brainstormed creative ways to eat more vegetables. Cooking class, anyone??

January Seattle Calligraphy Meetup

Start the new year off right with community and creativity! This Thursday, January 11 we are hosting the Seattle Calligraphy Meetup with our friends at @sweetgrassfoodco and would love you to join us!

Sweetgrass has a delicious menu of snacks and smoothies, so bring your empty stomach. We’ll be on the mezzanine from 6 to 8 and there’s no cost to register so come on down!

Brush Lettering Basics – Free Demo

In this complimentary demo, you’ll learn about the originals of modern calligraphy and fundamentals such as how to hold your pen and warm-ups. We’ll even show you a few fun ways to add depth to your lettering art!

Pointed Pen Calligraphy hearkens back to the foundations of Modern Calligraphy where you dip a pen into ink to write.

Holiday Lettering: Make Your Own Holiday Cards

We only host this once a year! You’ll get a crash course in hand lettering, then you’ll design a unique holiday card and make liners for envelopes for the people on your Christmas card list this year.
